Hello Everyone,
As many of you may know, John Rock is likely to have left Luccombe within a few days. His future location is, as yet, unknown.
John conceived the idea of a monochrome group after a mystical experience with a Welsh wizard on a high mountain. Three and a half years ago we decided to implement it and thanks to John’s infectious enthusiasm, expertise, creativity and personal charm we are still extant.
The Mono group will continue but with a change of personnel. Eric has agreed to remain as our Webmaster and Stephen Humphrys will join us as master of ceremonies. I would like to thank them both for their commitment to the group. I shall remain as sweeper.
I think an appropriate event to say a formal goodbye to John would be the ‘Ten Print Challenge - Exhibition’ planned for 13th Feb 2019. I will do my best to persuade him to join us on that occasion.
As we are having an exhibition early next year our November meeting will now have our standard format but retain the Poppy Appeal. Eric will provide a presentation based on the work of local photographer Kingsley-Taylor and our theme for the meeting will be ‘Dead Flowers’.
I do hope you will be able to join us.
Kind regards,
Basil
