On 1st June 2010 Louth WEA organised a trip to the Grade I listed Prebendal Manor House which is the earliest surviving dwelling in Northamptonshire. In addition to a tour of the house we were shown round the gardens that were established to represent both the practical and decorative features that could be found in a high status garden between the 13th and 15th centuries. It was an enjoyable and informative trip which followed up a course run by Andrew Sankey on the History of English Gardens.
