Rumours are once again being spread around the club that “us lot” have skint the club.
Let me ask you this, when our so called “lot” came on to the committee we did a quick assessment of the clubs finances with the info available to us at that time and determined that the club was losing approx £800 per week we told kieth our findings his reply to us and he has said it to you all as a committee is that the loss is more like a £1000 per week. Bearing this in mind let us ask you this, if we were losing a £1000 per week after a year what state would the club be in if “our lot” hadn’t addressed this issue, we will tell you, you would have increased beer prices to negate the losses resulting in more members not using the club we would have carried on losing a £1000 + per week and our bank balance would be reducing by a £1000+ per week after a year we would have had no money left and no re-investment in the club would have been possible “us lot” have re-invested in the club. this potential loss was :
£1000+ x 52 weeks in the year = £52,000+ loss
then if we add on the £23,000 vat bill this would take this potential loss to £75,000, the upshot of this is that we did address the situation and have overturned this weekly loss, this year we have spent in excess of £53,000 inc the vat repayment over and above the general running and maintenance of the club how would we have been able to spend this money if losses were still being incurred, so if the club had carried on as it was doing we would not have been able to spend this money or pay the vat bill and if we had done so with an overdraft facility in place the potential loss would be £105,000 we still have some money in the bank and the major spending is now over for a time, we should now, if we start to pull together be able to recharge our bank account, can someone now please explain to us what “this lot” are doing so wrong and why are “your lot” so much against us. all these personal issues and vendettas within the committee have to stop in order for this club to move on for the benefit of the members, some of you are causing so much unrest with your lies and insinuations within the club it is just not necessary and so very unjust.at the end of the day it will come to light what is happening in the club and the members will determine what is best for the club, let us start pulling together and get wadsley bridge w.m.c. back into shape for the benefit of us all. I request this letter be placed on our notice boards, any objections to this?
