The legendary DJ Premier turned 47-years young Yesterday. As 1/2 of Gang Starr, Primo helped create some of the 90s most celebrated “boom bap” records and albums (RIP Guru). To help honor the OG, Hot97′s Peter Rosenberg spun a special B-day mix dedicated to the DJ earlier this morning. Throughout his career, Premier has supplied hits to all the underground rap heavy hitters but also Janet Jackson, Nas, Christina Aguilera, Jay-Z and countless others.
