Yelawolf has been open about how his 2011 Shady Records debut, Radioactive, was more of a pop effort, but now its back to his roots on his new mixtape, Trunk Muzik Returns. Clocking in at 10 tracks — three of those we’ve already heard — the project once again showcases Billy Catfish’s Uzi-like flow over raw, diverse beats, with guest appearances from A$AP Rocky, Raekwon, Killer Mike, Paul Wall and Big Henry. We’ll have to wait and see if Yela continues in this musical direction on his forthcoming third studio album.
