Welcome to Trash 2 Treasure

Trash 2 Treasure started as a small family initiative to curb the commercial attitude to Christmas.

In 2008 our entire family agreed not to buy presents. Instead we would all source gifts that were handmade, passed on, swapped, freecycled or as a result of buy one get one free deals (but only if the original purchase was absolutely necessary).

We surprised ourselves by the diversity and quality of the gifts that we exchanged and we vowed to maintain this type of giving for Christmas and birthdays.

Now you can join in...

Saving our own trash and turning it into treasure has become a way of life that we would now like to share with you. We have a small selection of stock on this website and we visit events in the south of England (must keep the carbon footprint down!). If you live in the South Oxfordshire area, you can now see our goods at the "Skinny Hippo" gift shop in Abingdon.

If you would like to buy our items, we now have the capacity to receive paypal payments. Prices for our unique items are as shown. We don't add any p&p and we use as much recycled packaging as possible :)

If you don't want to buy any of our items, we won't be offended - but encourage you to take up the challenge of turning your own trash into treasure and to share your idea's with others through this site.
