TORRIDON FOREST GARDEN CROFT

......................... Is a two acre croft in the village of Fasaig, Torridon. It is under development as a local food growing enterprise. With fruit, vegetables, herbs   dye plants, cut flowers cropped in raised beds for sale. Perrenial cottage garden plants, herbs and wildflowers are grown for sale. There are also areas dedicated to growing willow in a coppice system for craft materials and small firewood bundles. This willow coppice will be grazed under by muscovy ducks.  From the willow enclosure it will be possible to view the small bay to the north west of Am Ploc from a willow dome hide.   A forest garden area, ( multiple layer perrenial crops) is also being planted up.  Whilst another area of mixed fruiting trees and shrubs will be grazed under by a small flock of geese.  Hens,geese,ducks will also provide eggs for home use and sales locally.   A further enclosure will contain a wildlife pond within open areas of native wetland plants
