In tonights top of the table clash Tomatin came out on top against Clach Youth. The game was alot closer than the score suggests.

The first half was a tight affair with Clach enjoying most of the possesion but it was Tomatin who had the first real chance of the game. Martin Kennedy bet the offside trap but with only the keeper to beat he blasted over the bar.

Clach Youth came close to opening the scoring towards the end of the half when the ball was played across goal but no one was there for a tap in.

The second half began with Tomatin scoring two goals in quick succesion. The first goal came when Donald Poupard crossed the ball to the back post where DJ was there for a simple tap in. The goal scorer then set up the second goal when he played Peter Fraser through with a long diagonal ball splitting the defence. The midfielder had a simple finish with only the keeper to beat.

These two quick goals pushed Clach to look for a way back into the game. They managed to pull one back when Clach scored with a drive from the edge of the box.

With the game becoming tense Tomatin increased their lead when Stephen McGhie challegened the keeper for a high ball. The keeper dropped the ball and McGhie calmly slotted the ball home.

McGhie then finished the game when he scored Tomatin's fourth, beating the offside trap to roll the ball through the keepers legs into the back of the net.
