The club was formed in the 1996 by Jimmy Irvine, with the team playing in the Inverness Amateur League.

They joined the Strathspey and Badenoch league. In which they spent a few seasons being middle table before they got a settled team. They won their first piece of silverware in 2005 which was the Tomatin Cup.

The next season they won the league title for the first time aswell as retaining the Tomatin Cup. In 2007, Tomatin reached the final of the Highland Welfare Cup narrowly getting beat 2-1 by MacNabs.

In 2009 they joined the Inverness Welfare 4th division.
