On the last day of the season club member Guy Eldridge stunned the angling world by catching the second biggest Zander in the uk and on a fly. This Monster fish weighed in at 19lb 8 oz.. Guy also had Zander to 16lb 2oz in the same week. Guy had been fishing a very snaggy area and lost at least 10 flies in doing so. He was down to his last decent size fly, a rather drab looking creation that the fish couldn't resist. Guy has worked very hard on his fishing this season and has put in untold hours on the rivers and lakes in the Fens which has paid off for him. A cracking fish that will take some years to better especially on fly gear.
