Scratching the Surface at Boat of Garten

This creative art workshop for adults is to discover the satisfaction of scratching away layers to create atmospheric and detailed images. It is surprising how a similar scraping action can produce quite different results, depending on the type of materials and tools used. Compare the very fine lines of scraper board against the weathered board effect made with oil pastel and ink. Oil pastel and paint create dynamic unpredictable lines, while layers of different coloured oil pastels add interest and surprise. It is unexpectedly relaxing and produces amazing results.
At the end of the day you will come away having learnt four different techniques, all using a similar action, but producing their own distinct look. All the techniques are surprising easy and so are suitable for any artistic ability, so whether you want to increase your range of skills, or just have fun in a relaxed, creative and friendly atmoshphere with like-minded people you are very welcome to join in.
