West Haddon Road Too Dangerous For Ramblers

The speed and volume of traffic combined with the inconsiderate, thoughtless attitude of many drivers have made the section of West Haddon Road between the village gateway and the junction of the once attractive byway to Winwick unpleasant and unsafe for pedestrians.

Consequently, the Rambler has reluctantly removed walk descriptions which included it.

He is now working on new routes to replace these which will hopefully appear in the next few days.

There can be little doubt that the so-called ‘improvements’ to the Catthorpe Interchange, combined with the expansion of DIRFT, building developments around Daventry and Rugby and the widespread slavish use of Satellite Navigation are all contributing to this appalling situation.
