This morning Steve and Gerry are joined by John Howson (see photo) and for the first time on this ride, they are setting off in the rain.

Nantwich to Hurst Green.  Yesterday they guys "whizzed" through Manchester only to get lost in Leigh.  In trying to get back on their route they were helped by two men who just happened to know Steve's neice.  These men have promised sponsorship if their picture appears on the webside - so here they are.

The catastrophy we have all been waiting for almost happened yesterday.  A car "just missed" Gerry and then Steve "nearly" got hit by a car door.  They rode for the last 2.5 hours of yesterday afternoon in rain, so a steamy night in The Bayley Arms Hotel I should imagine.   An evening with Paul Young rounded off the day.
