Allotments and Community Garden AGM on the 14th February.
21 January 2010

Allotments and Community Garden AGM

14th February Taff's Well Rugby Club

I would like to amend previously sent details for the Allotments and Community Garden AGM on the 14th February.

In addition to this, there is important information that I require from you all prior to this meeting. So please read on...

The details are as follows:

1) there will be the official AGM for current allotment holders at 11am. This will include only the current members.

2) An unofficial meeting will take place at 12:30 of the same day following the AGM to which we invite all potential new members who wish to either have an allotment or be part of the community garden. At this meeting we shall be handing out allotment plots to anyone that wants one.

Prior to this meeting Graham Bell, our Treasurer, will provide a total price for an allotment (5 perch).

To be involved in the community garden, there is an existing Friend Of donation which you can submit either on our website, or directly to Graham Bell.

At present we are planning out the plots to ensure maximum capacity on the field designated for allotments. As you will all realise there will only be a definitive number of 5 perch plots. On our waiting list, we have recorded everyone who wishes a plot at all since September last year; therefore, the list is quite extensive. So that we can plan accordingly, if you want to be involved at all, it is of upmost importance that you respond to to at the following email address;
arnold.se@hotmail.co.uk with either one of the following:

1) I do not want a allotment at all, and I do not want to be a part of the community garden either

2) I do not want a allotment, but want to be part of the garden (this may involve communal growing and/or raised beds that you can put your name to)

3) I would like a full 5 perch allotment plot

4) I would be happy and satisfied if I could have a half plot
     (2.5 perch)

5) I would like to share a 2.5 perch allotment

6) I would like to share a 5 perch allotment

This is important to the success of this project, as without this information, we will not be able to plan ahead. If you can respond by the end of this month (January), this will give us time to organise this before the AGM and meeting on the 14th.

I look forward to hearing from you all soon. We may attempt to contact as many of you as possible personally to discuss these options above.

Many thanks,

Steve Arnold
Chairman of the Allotments Association
