STUN is an independent, user-led charity run by and for people with lived experience of mental health issues. Our membership covers the Stirling Council area. STUN is a registered Scottish charity (No: SC032960).

STUN's vision

We believe that people with knowledge based on real lived experience of mental illness are best placed to know what works for them. We believe people can and do recover from mental health problems.

What does STUN do?

STUN aims to work with all 'stakeholders' (people and organisations with an interest in mental health  - service providers, supports, users and carers) to improve the services available and to empower people to access them as part of their recovery journey. Find out more...

Becoming a member of STUN is free! As a member, we will try to keep you informed of involvement opportunities; the work of STUN; information about events within the Stirling area and training opportunities.

There are two types of membership available:

• Full membership is available to people in the Stirling Council area with lived experience of mental health issues;
• Associate membership is available to people and groups interested in the work of STUN.

To become a member, simply download our PDF leaflet with attached application form and return it to the address given. This can also be found on 'News' page from the menu.  Or, you can get in touch with us by 'phone, email or post (information is on our Contact Us page) and we will call you to arrange your membership.  Whatever suits you works for us!
