My name is Steve cooper I have been involved in woodwork of one kind or other mostly woodturning since I left school a hundred years ago. Back in 92 I made my first plane with a little help from the late Jim kingshotts book

.This is my latest a small mitre plane with cupids bow detail on the dovetails and thuya bur and bubinga infill. It's 6" across the sole and has a new old herring bros iron.

i now intend to sell some of my own collection along with others as I make them.

these kind of planes are by there nature expensive but there value increases if they are looked after. Each plane even the smallest mitre takes a very great number of hours to produce which I is why they are no longer produced by the large companies but now only by a few people such as myself , Bill carter,Holtey and one or two others.
