"'Ere we go"! This is without question the cartoon which made me proud to be an MS cartoonist. What other paper would have printed this? In the weeks before the EU referendum in 2016, the national football team went off to the Euro competition, to cover themselves in glory again (not). There are several jokes in one cartoon here - will our gallant lads bother to vote? Will they even get as far as the stadium? At least he knows what 'merci' means! And of course the French riot police - whose exploits against their own population are carefully ignored by British media, lest they remind us that our own police really are wonderful!

In typical Meanie Brit style, the Brexit Day celebrations on 31 January 2020 were a muted affair - the BBC even refused to broadcast our own Prime Minister's speech!
The People's Vote
This is my iconic cartoon of the 2016 Euro vote, which clashed with Glastonbury. Will he vote or won't he??
The Morning Star used this twice, a couple of weeks before, then on voting day itself.
The Morning Star constantly surprise me with what they will print - this was one of those times!

I went to the rally, and I'm showing my age with this cartoon. Many people will not get the reference to Naseem Hamed and his outrageous entrances!

One of my first Brexit cartoons, done in 2016.For American viewers, the 3 Lions tails hanging out of his mouth refer to the badge of the England football team.

Euro Vote 2019
Euro Vote 2019
published in Morning Star before the Euro elections. The communist party of GB advocated boycotting them, which is ok for the men in their audience, but most women would likely oppose boycotting any election, given women's long struggle, and suffering, to get the vote.

Stockpiling for a hard Brexit
Labour lost the 2019 Geberal Election in large part because they sat on the fence over Brexit.
And finally - here's all the Labour membership cards going down the drain, along with debris from xmas parties, after the 2019 general election.
