Corbyn takes Salford

Jeremy Corbyn launched his official leadership contender battle at the Lowry Theatre, Salford today. A 1700 seat theatre, packed to the rafters. The clip below is over 2 hours long but forward to about 1h 33m and see Corbyn get up to speak. The start of the link and the end show the extent of the crowd there - absolutely amazing.

Check out this link too from the Manchester Evening News to see photos of the crowd.

Just a few thoughts I'd like to add:

No posed kids in Corbyn for Leader T shirts
No white shirt/rolled up sleeves
No fancy placards paraded on the top table
No-one up front in fancy dresses
No fancy props
No fancy banners
WYSIWYG

Are all these people Trots under the bed? Bullies? Part of a cult? Misguided? Wrong? Thick?

Having seen this today, the chancer Owen Smith must feel even smaller than he actually is. Jeremy Corbyn has more integrity in the hairs on his chin than Smith will have if he lived two lifetimes. And Owen Smith, the problem for you is that people know it. If this was a boxing match then the referee would already be asking Smith "are you OK to carry on?"
