You'd think Baron Hain would have grown out of such childishness as to tweet the photograph and message below on 12 May 2016. If I was equally as puerile, vindictive and had a similar herd mentality, (me? you've got the wrong bloke) I would have depicted Hain with a breast pocket showing Andy Richards, the Regional Secretary of UNITE in Wales. Andy has ridden shotgun on many of Hain's bandwagons since 1991 and the two remind me of Pinocchio and Geppetto. You don't need to guess who the puppetmaster is - one of Hain's last declarations in the MPs' Register of Financial Interests is to declare a donation to the value of £3,000 from UNITE "to my constituency party or association".  Anyway, more to come on the connection between these two in the future.

The background to Neil Hamilton's photo seems to be his manorial pile in Wiltshire, though it could equally be taken outside Hain's own gin palace in Aberdulais. I think the Hains and the Hamiltons would get on like a house on fire. I wonder if Neil and Christine have an Aga and have tried the speciality of Chez Hain - "marinated tuna a l'Aga".
