Love your Small Swords..
Very Cool Stuff, when you make a small
sword.. where do you get the blade..
Or do you manufacture it yourself.. and
use the old Methods to forge the blade..
Or procure blade blanks from a knife
manufacturer..
Lovely Reproductions.. and I look forward to seeing the one you just recieved after you have returned to it's former beauty..

thanks elvis

Cheers Mr. Elvis thanks for your inquiry. I typically fix the reproductions with epee blades that I pick up on ebay. I've recently gone through a small stock that I acquired from a theatre that had ordered them but never used them. I'm about to place an order to a factory for some number 5's (standard epee blades) and some number 2's which are child's sized and popular with historic fencers as they are safe for sparring and about the length that a small sword would have been. I'm also going to be creating a couple of exact copies of the original in aluminium which as you probably know is typical for the film industry. My guy at the foundry just messaged me half an hour ago and the first test pieces will be poured Monday morning... so it won't be long now. I'll post the results soon and look forward to your next post.
cheers
Joel
