It’s Time for Change !
Save our game Campaign

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Football Clubs are out of control and have taken the game away from the people that matter most the FANS.

Please let us hear from you the fans, together we can make changes for the better.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

It is time for change. Clubs must be held accountable over ever increasing overdrafts. Some Clubs are said to be £415 million in the red and even at the other end of the table teams are said to be £115 million in red. It’s no wonder teams that keep within a set budget are and always will be also-rans.

There is little point in the Premiership continuing with the rest of the teams playing for fifth spot behind, Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal;  soon I expect it will be the top five with Man City spending there way to the top.

I am in full agreement with the Board at my club Birmingham City in keeping the club within budget but this will of course keeps us and teams like Everton, Aston Villa, and the like from winning the League. I don't know what the answer is; is it a complete change of rules to make teams stay with in their income? Maybe it is time for the rest to pull out of the Premiership, re-establish the Football League and get back to basic Divisions 1 to 4. The likes of the top 4 can either leave and form a Super European League or tow the line.
It was reported some time ago in a top national paper that Liverpool had 62 squad players, United 55, Chelsea 55 and Arsenal 48.  I find this absolutely ridiculous.  It is no wonder that the other teams are finding it hard to get class players.  I would like to know who these players are and why they would seem to be happy not playing.  Is it time to rule that no team can have more than 32 squad members and each team must field an "A" reserve team made up the said squad players, a "B" reserve team made up from players brought through the clubs Academy/youth team? The A reserve team could also field players from the B reserve team thus giving the younger players the chance to play alongside seasoned players and also give the manager the chance to rest is Senior Squad players and most of all give the fans a chance of seeing the players on the pitch in the same way as I did some forty-forty five years ago, or am I dreaming that I used to go to see Birmingham reserves and Third team at St Andrews playing the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and the other top teams of the day.

Give us back our game.

Clubs must be held to account over there debts. Just like any one else no more restructuring mountains of dept caused by ever increasing transfer fees, no more sky high wages footballers are not Gods, their wages should be in line with all wages, yes
footballers have a short football carrier a working life as a player of 20 years man and boy to the normal working span of 50 years for white and blue collared workers so may be their average wage should be double the national average.
I was a horticulturist with qualifications and was well regarded by all those that I won contracts with, I was regarded by them for my skills, should I have expected the same rewards as footballers expect for there talent the answer is very simply NO, should I have charged above the going rate for my labour of course not.
Should Football clubs make unreasonable charges for the public to enter their grounds NO, should clubs charge three to four time the going rate for there merchandises of course not. Lets get real .
