About us

Saltersgate School Parent Council is made up of parents and carers who aim to represent the views of all parents and carers of children at Saltersgate School.

If you are a parent or a carer of a child at Saltersgate School then you are automatically part of the 'Parent Forum'. This means you can attend Parent Council meetings.

Our Head Teacher, Jane Minelly, will also attend meetings.

The role of Saltersgate Parent Council is to:

• support the school in its work with pupils

• represent the views of all parents

• encourage links between the school, parents, pupils and the wider community

• report back to all the parents in the school (called the Parent Forum)

• play a role in the appointment of headteachers and depute headteachers

• support the school and pupils during school inspections.
