Sunderland are among a host of Premier League clubs linked with a loan move for Manchester City midfielder Jack Rodwell.

The 23-year-old has managed just seven league starts since his £12m move from Everton two years.

West Brom, Everton, Hull and Newcastle have been mentioned as possible suitors too, with the toffees seeing a January bid to take the England international back to Goodison Park rejected.
