Sunderland bid for Williams
Sunderland have reportedly made a bid for Swansea City defender Ashley Williams.
Sky Sports report that Sunderland have offered £4million for the Welsh centre-back who has been with the Swans since 2008.
Williams is contracted at the Liberty Stadium until next summer but Sunderland have tested the resolve of the Welsh outfit who could lose him for nothing a year from now.
Williams has previously been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Napoli, Lille, QPR and Liverpool
