Burnley, West Ham target Bardsley
The battle for Sunderland fullback Phil Bardsley is heating up.
The defender is out of contract next month.
The 28-year-old Scotland international, who has scored four goals in 33 games for the Black Cats this season, is being tracked by Burnley,West Ham United, QPR and Blackburn Rovers.
Sunderland have held contract talks with Bardsley but negotiations have broken down and boss Gus Poyet says he expects the 28-year-old defender to move on, although the Scotland international himself has not yet ruled out staying on Wearside.
Sunderland turned down a £2m bid for him from Fulham in the January transfer window.
Bardsley is Sunderland’s longest-serving player, Joining in January 2008.
