Fan plea from Brown

@Sunderlandafc11

Sunderland defender Wes Brown has called on the Black Cats' fans to keep up the noise level in the vital games to come this season.

The former Manchester United man said the legion of fans at Wembley on Sunday were an inspiration to the team and he is looking for more of the same between now and the end of the season.

Sunderland are in FA Cup action this weekend, when they travel to Hull on Sunday, but then they face the battle to stay in the Premier League with 10 games remaining.

With the relegation battle likely to go down to the wire, Brown believes the club's supporters can play a key role in helping the Black Cats stay up. The centre-back told the Journal: "I like it. I wish it was like that every week.

It gets me up for the game, I'm sure if our fans can do that for the rest of the season, especially at home, then it will be great.

"We've got to take this into the league now, especially the first half with how we played, and try to get a few points."
