Sunderland to open Bardsley contact talks
Phil Bardsley is set to open new contract talks with Sunderland.
The Daily Mail says the Black Cats turned down a £1.5million bid from fellow relegation strugglers Fulham during the January transfer window.
Fulham remain interested in Bardsley, who is out of contract at the end of the season, and will return for him in the summer.
But the north-east club have called the defender in for formal talks over an extension as they look to stop him leaving.
