Sunderland eyeing QPR keeper Julio Cesar
Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is chasing QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar.
According to the Daily Mail Poyet is exploring ways to bolster his side, who sit five points adrift at the foot of the Premier League table, and has identified vastly experienced Cesar as someone who could trigger a revival.
The 34-year-old has been told he can leave Loftus Road and wants a move to ensure his place in the Brazil side for this summer’s World Cup.
QPR would prefer a permanent transfer but Sunderland boss Poyet wants to push through a loan deal until the end of the season and take over Cesar’s wages.
