Brown insists Sunderland can upset Chelsea, Spurs this week
Sunderland defender Wes Brown is convinced they can collect points from home games against Chelsea and Tottenham.
The Black Cats kick off December with two home games in four days, with Chelsea’s midweek visit to Wearside followed by a Saturday fixture against Spurs.
“They are games to look forward to and the lads are looking forward to playing in them,” Brown told safc.com.
“It’s two big games against good sides with good players. I think we’ve thrived on that so hopefully we can take that into these next two games.
“We’ve got something to build from with the clean sheets and we’ll look to take that forward.
“It’s not just been the defenders – it’s the team in general. We’ve kept calm in situations and defended how we know we can.”
