Keiren Westwood: Beating Newcastle Is Massive For Us
Sunderand goalkeeper Keiren Westwood says that the Wear-Tyne derby win over Newcastle United could be huge for the club's survival bid.
Speaking to Sky Sports News after the match, Keiren Westwood said: "I'm not one for celebrating goals but I was quite close to jumping into the crowd myself (when Borini scored).
"I think we deserved it and we've shown we're a decent enough side.
"It's funny because it's still the start of the season so your confidence should be OK but at times we were sort of running on empty but this win is going to be massive for us and we'll try and kick on now."
