Bardsley in race for fitness to revive his Sunderland career under Poyet
Phil Bardsley is racing to rescue his Sunderland career under new manager Gus Poyet.
According to The Daily Mail Bardsley has begun an intensive fitness drive as he looks to be fit for Gus Poyet’s first game in charge.
The former Manchester United full-back has not played this season after breaking his foot whilst playing for the Under-21’s in August.
But Bardsley is back in full training and is aiming to be fit for the clash against Swansea on October 19.
