Di Canio pledges to battle on
Paolo Di Canio remains adamant that he is the man to steer his side away from the wrong end of the Premier League table.
Sunderland were beaten 3-0 at West Brom on Saturday to leave them still bottom of the table, having picked up just one point from five games so far this season
Di Canio told chroniclelive: "Of course I am convinced I will get this right. I think every manager believes in himself, even after seven defeats in a row.
"I always do that [go to the fans] - when we win, or when we lose.
"Of course, if you lose, lose, lose, lose, lose, lose, lose, probably they are going to want to change the man at the top.
"But I don't think now.
"We have seen in this league that, even if you are tenth in the table, you can get the sack because maybe they expect more.
