Sunderland reject loan bid from Forest for Cattermole
The Daily Mail reports Paolo Di Canio has turned down an approach from the City Ground to allow the former England Under-21 international out of the Stadium of Light.
Di Canio has taken Lee to one side this week, asking him to buy into his plans for the club.
And because he is seeking assurances from the midfielder that he will toe the line, di Canio has blocked any ideas Cattermole, 25, harboured about dropping into the Championship to continue his career.
