Sunderland have agreed a fee with Qatar side Al-Jaish of around £5million for Stephane Sessegnon.

Sessegnon has been with Sunderland since January 2011 when he joined for around £6m from Paris Saint Germain.

Sessegnon, 29, has been deemed surplus to requirements as manager Paolo Di Canio continues to revamp his squad.

He has been a first-team regular throughout his time with Sunderland and has scored 18 goals in 97 games for the black cats
