£1million wanted for Vaughan?
The Sunderland Echo are reporting that Sunderland will demand £1million for David Vaughan before allowing him to leave Sunderland.
The 30-year-old is now in the final year of his contract and Crystal Palace are the favourites to sign him.
Vaughan, who grabbed the third goal in April’s stunning 3-0 win at Newcastle United, is likely to be restricted to a bit-part role for a second successive campaign after starting just six Premier League games last season.
And that has prompted Sunderland to be willing to cut Vaughan from the wage bill after letting six first-teamers leave the club already this summer.
