Scotland striker Steven Fletcher, 26, has been forced to miss the trip to the Far East as he recovers from an ankle injury. The former Wolves and Hibernian forward, Sunderland’s top scorer last season with 11 goals despite a lengthy absence, was left out of the Scotland squad to face England next month.
Despite interest from Celtic concerning his immediate future, Fletcher is expected to start the season at Sunderland.
