Sunderland bid for Altidore
Sunderland have reportedly made a bid for AZ Alkmaar forward Jozy Altidore.
The 23-year-old, who scored 23 league goals for the Dutch club last season, is understood to have attracted the interest of a number of European clubs this summer.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Sunderland have made an official bid for the American international, who had a spell with Hull City in 2009.Fulham are also believed to be interested in signing the powerful forward.
