Hull City have signed Ahmed Elmohamady from Sunderland on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Elmohamady is already a popular figure with Tigers fans having spent the majority of the 2012/13 season on loan at the KC

Stadium, scoring three goals in 41 appearances during a memorable promotion-winning campaign.

The 25-year-old right-sided player is now looking forward to being a permanent part of the club’s future and is delighted to commit to the Tigers for the long term.

“It feels great to be here permanently, especially after what happened here last season,” Elmohamady told hullcityafc.net .

“It was a great year and I thoroughly enjoyed playing for this club. Everything about it was great – the players, the staff, the fans – and I am delighted to be here again.

“It’s going to be great to play in the Premier League again, especially with Hull City, and I am very much looking forward to the new season.

“Moving here was an easy decision to make. The fans are fantastic and it will be enjoyable to play in front of them in the Premier League.”

Elmohamady has made no secret of how much he also enjoys playing for City manager Steve Bruce, and he is delighted to be a part of his plans for the future.

“The manager was the one who brought me over from Egypt to play for Sunderland and now he has brought me here,” added Elmohamady.

“I really enjoy playing for him and I look forward to doing so again now.”

Although it has been almost two months since the dramatic final day of last season, Elmohamady has had a busy time away playing for Egypt and he will now take the opportunity to take a holiday before returning for pre-season training.

“We’ve had World Cup qualifiers with Egypt.

“I will now have a few days off before I come back for pre-season training.”
