Transfer Talk: Liverpool to offload former Sunderland Midfiedler
FORMER Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson, 23, could be offloaded by Liverpool to raise funds for a move to land Celtic’s Victor Wanyama.
Reports today suggest Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is prepared to sacrifice the England Under-21 skipper, despite Henderson making 44 appearances in his second year at Anfield last season.
Liverpool signed Henderson from Sunderland for a reportly £20m
Rodgers is rumoured to be keen on Wanyama, who had looked set to join Southampton after they agreed a £10m deal with Celtic.
The midfielder has made 92 appearances scoring 8 times for Liverpool
But Henderson has proved himself a survivor at Anfield after rejecting the chance to join Fulham in a swap deal last summer.
