Transfer Talk: AZ insist no Sunderland approach for Altidore

AZ Alkmaar chief Earnie Stewart insists he's not heard from Sunderland over Jozy Altidore.

Sunderland are being linked with a £5 million bid for the USA international.

But Stewart said: “We have not heard anything from Sunderland, so I can not confirm the interest.”

His first year with Alkmaar in 2011 saw him register 17 goals before he almost doubled that tally last season and now Di Canio wants to hand him another chance in England.
