Liverpool agree fee for Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet

Sky sources understand Sunderland and Liverpool have agreed a fee for goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

Liverpool have been chasing Sunderland keeper Simon Mignolet, 24, since the end of the season, with their current goalkeeper Pepe Reina expected to leave the club this summer.

Sunderland and Liverpool are thought to have agreed a fee for Mignolet in excess of £10-12 million.

Mignolet moved to the Stadium of Light from Belgian side Sint-Truiden three years ago for £2m.

He still has two years remaining on his contract but Sunderland may find it hard to resist Liverpool's overtures.
