Rural Nations is an artist led production company which commissions film, experimental theatre and strategic arts projects for Western Isles audiences.
The company develops partnership working projects and employs artists from all over Britain in order to deliver our unique films and theatre performances reflecting contemporary Highlands and Islands environments, inspirational events, people, political issues and traditional cultures.
Our work regularly delivers Gaelic language performances, puppetry and creature make. Our artists continually explore humour, physical performance and devised theatre techniques.

oung people's film making project meets at Pointers Youth Centre, Stornoway on Monday nights between 7.00 and 9.30pm.
Environment: Rural Nations is also concerned with raising awareness in environmental issues and all our projects carry a campaign or promotion relating to this. Strategic projects which support our commitment to environmental issues include: The Hebrides International Film Festival 2015, planned for October (dates tbc). This unique film festival will be themed to Islands and Environments and will screen high quality International dramas and documentaries in a variety of Island venues.
