Welcome to the Ross & Cromarty Group of Advanced Motorists

Have you thought of improving your driving skills?

Our group gives you the opportunity to do just that by offering full advice and guidance to anyone wishing to take the test to become a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists. We work on a one-to-one basis where an observer will accompany you on a number of runs to help you improve your skills prior to taking the test. The course can be completed using a car, a motorcycle, a commercial vehicle or a minibus.
 

Aims & Benefits

The aim of the organisation is to improve the standard of driving on the UK roads.

The benefit to the driver is that he or she will be more confident in handling the vehicle and dealing with hazards, and will have more sympathy with his or her car thereby reducing motoring costs. Passenger comfort will also be improved as the driver learns to drive the vehicle more smoothly. By completing the course, the driver will also be less likely to have an accident. In some instances, insurance premiums may be reduced and no-claims bonuses maintained.
