Steven Birch, site director over the last 3 years of excavation at the Learnie caves near Rosemarkie, has written a comprehensive article describing the results so far. He concentrates on the findings from the 2018 dig with its intact early medieval iron smithing furnace and articulated horse remains, however he also includes an overview of the previous two years including the Rosemarkie Man Pictish age skeleton which received widespread media attention in 2017.
