C25K Week 6 but really the end of Week 5 - The Longest So Far
Really well done to everyone that came Monday night, 20 minutes of running, you all did fab :) How many thought running for one minute at the start was a struggle? Look at what you have achieved and how much you are enjoying it. It is great for us to see how much fun you are having and the improvements you have all made and the chatter and giggles are still there :)
The question has been asked several times this week what happens after we finish week 9? Well the Monday group will continue and so hopefully will you, with the aim to improve your distance, stamina and pace. Nothing to pushy but a slow and gradual build up to 4 miles then possible 5 and so on. You never know that 10K you though impossible could easily be doable ;)
Another question being asked is what about the 5k run? Well what we would like to do is to move it from the Monday night to the following Sunday 12th March and all go over to Ilminster and run a section of the cycle path out and back. A nice flat traffic free route where you family can come along and support your and cheer you on. There is also the option for a visit to the pub for a celebratory drinkie and/or food afterwards.
An alternative option for anyone who fancies it, is for the Combe St Nicholas 5K fun run on Sunday 5th March. We will no doubt be on hand to shout and cheer anyone who wants to do this ;)
So put the dates in your diary because you can all achieved this :)
