Catherine's Kit Bag

(or how to spend even more money on running things that you might not need as running is supposed to be a cheap sport... just need a pair of trainers they say...)

Running Free in Poundbury, Dorchester

Recommended clothing..tried and tested

Shoes:

Remember that all feet and running styles are different and ideally you will have gait analysis done at least initially but these are some that experienced runners in the club would recommend

Kay's recommendation is Saucony Triumph ISO -2

https://www.sportsshoes.com/product/sau2914/saucony-triumph-iso-2-women's-running-shoes/

Bras: Important for all women if you don't want them to end up by your knees

Shock Absorber Ultimate Run

Tesco Ultimate Run -does the job, cheaper but don't know if it will last as long as the above

Leggings/Shorts:

USA Pro - Kay says they fit well but no pocket

Skort: (As recommended by Kay)

Showerproof/reflective jacket:

Kay recommends buying a size up but it is totally reflective and kept her dry. There is also a men's version with no hood

Headtorch/light:

People have also used the lights that clip onto shoes

Sports watch:

The club favourite has got to be Garmin...for example the Forerunner 230

There is a vast array of prices and the type and cost will depend on what you want it to be able to do - track runs, pace, cadence, timing, heart rate, count steps while you aren't running....

Running Belts

Again, it depends on what you want to carry with you. This one holds a drinks bottle as well:
