Psychology for Families -

Glasgow

  Dr Julie Bennett

Families encounter many challenges as part of everyday life. These might be due to the routine stresses which occur as we grow and develop or possibly through more worrying times where there are health concerns or unexpected events. Julie is a Clinical Psychologist and Family Therapist with 10 years experience of working with families and individuals in distress within mental health services. She is able to offer tailored assessment and intervention packages. These are influenced by psychological models and systemic approaches. This enables her to work together with individuals and families to alleviate distress.

Julie gained her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Glasgow and subsequently qualified as a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist at the University of Strathclyde. As a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (bps.org.uk) her practice is in accordance with both their Member Conduct Rules and Code of Ethics and Conduct. In addition, Julie is registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (hcpc-uk.org.uk) (Reg no. PYL02265) and UK Council for Psychotherapy.
