Portree Primary School won the National First Shinty Competition for girls which was recently held at the Fingal Centre in Portree on Saturday 8th March. Teams from as far afield as Grantown and Ardamurchan took part but, Portree who had already won the Skye tournament retained their national title when they defeated another Skye team, South End in the final.
