Portree Primary School recently won the North West Highland, Primary Rotary Quiz Trophy  when they won the four school area final on Saturday 27th April, in Dingwall.  The event on Saturday was hotly contested with PPS beating runners up Avoch by just 4 points. The other teams in the Area Final were Brora and Craighill.

Portree and Avoch now go forward to the District Final in Perth in June where the top 6 schools from the 420 who started the competition, will compete for the first prize of £500, with the next two runners up being awarded £300 and £200 respectively.
