Dear Member

Although you may not have heard from your CIC we as Directors have been busy on your behalf.  Since our inception in March we have elected a board of 6 Directors under the Chairmanship of Graham Brown with Karen Aycan in charge of finance.

Our first task was to find a chairman for The Enchanted Forest Steering Group as this was a prerequisite of the CIC taking charge of EF. in 2010.  The Directors have been fortunate in obtaining the services of Stephen Bolland from Kinross. Not only is this year’s EF on track but a full plan for next year is almost in place. The CIC has representation not only on the steering group but also on the operations committee. The Heads of Agreement with Perthshire Big Tree Country is ready for signing when we have finance in place. This will be the first time in Scotland that a government body has signed over an event to a community interest company. Well done North Perthshire!

Our Business plan and finance plan for 2009/10 is almost ready and we are in the process of obtaining funding for the next 3 years .

Our Autumn Festival Brochures are now out and being distributed along with our joint flyer with Enchanted Forest. Fishers Hotel is once again to be the departure point for EF. The Story Telling Yurt and Halloween Marquee are to be in the grounds of the Old Bank House courtesy of Mr David Cameron of Aviemore

We urgently need volunteers to help with the Autumn Festival . If you would like to help either in the Halloween Marquee or out on trhe street with the Buskers, please contact Brian Simpson @ Viva Crafts Bonnethill rd or phone him on 07753 812 008 or visit www.pitlochryautumnfestival.co.uk and check under opportunities
If you have a musical talent and would like to try Busking during the Festival please contact Martin Anderson at Craigatin House Pitlochry Tel 01796 472478.

As part of our business plan we hope to be able to offer training opportunities in the future from event stewarding to event management. Initially we are looking for stewards for the EF who will undergo a short training programme and will be eligible for payment. In years to come we hope that all events under the CIC will be by local personnel.
This is the first year the PACIC are running the Autumn festival . Next year we will be running  Enchanted Forest and by year 3 we hope to have another event under way. This is your local company and we are open to ideas that will benefit Highland Perthshire. Should you like a speaker for your organisation or club please ask a Director or e mail karenaycan@hotmail.com Please contact any of the Directors to discuss your ideas, or join our committee and get involved.
